Exodus 17:9
ಆಗ ಮೋಶೆಯು ಯೆಹೋಶುವನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ನಮ ಗಾಗಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯರನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಅಮಾಲೇಕ್ಯರ ಸಂಗಡ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟುಹೋಗು; ನಾಳೆ ನಾನು ದೇವರ ಕೋಲನ್ನು ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಡಿದು ಕೊಂಡು ಗುಡ್ಡದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಂತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವೆನು ಅಂದನು.

ಆಗ ಮೋಶೆಯು ಜನರ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತ ನಾಡಿ--ನಿಮ್ಮೊಳಗಿಂದ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿದ್ಧ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿ; ಅವರು ಮಿದ್ಯಾನ್ಯರಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಹೋಗಿ ಕರ್ತನ ಮುಯ್ಯನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ತೀರಿಸ ಬೇಕು.
