Exodus 13:16
ಇದು ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಮೇಲೆ ಗುರುತಾಗಿಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ಹಣೆಯ ಕಟ್ಟಾಗಿಯೂ ಇರಲಿ. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಕರ್ತನು ತನ್ನ ಬಲವಾದ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಐಗುಪ್ತದೊಳಗಿನಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಮುಂದೆ ಬರುವ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಗನು ನಿನಗೆ--ಇದೇನು ಎಂದು ಕೇಳುವಾಗ ನೀನು ಅವನಿಗೆಕರ್ತನು ತನ್ನ ಬಲವಾದ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಐಗುಪ್ತದ ದಾಸತ್ವದ ಮನೆಯಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
