Esther 4:16
ನಾನೂ ನನ್ನ ದಾಸಿಯರೂ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಉಪವಾಸ ಮಾಡುವೆವು. ಅನಂತರ ನಾನು ಆಜ್ಞೆ ವಿಾರಿ ಅರಸನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುವೆನು. ನಾನು ನಾಶವಾದರೆ ನಾಶವಾಗುವೆನು ಅಂದಳು.

| nor | וְאַל | wĕʾal | veh-AL |
| drink | תִּשְׁתּ֜וּ | tištû | teesh-TOO |
| three | שְׁלֹ֤שֶׁת | šĕlōšet | sheh-LOH-shet |
| days, | יָמִים֙ | yāmîm | ya-MEEM |
| night | לַ֣יְלָה | laylâ | LA-la |
| or day: | וָי֔וֹם | wāyôm | va-YOME |

| and my maidens | וְנַֽעֲרֹתַ֖י | wĕnaʿărōtay | veh-na-uh-roh-TAI |
