ಆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಗಂಡಸರನ್ನೂ ಹೆಂಗಸರನ್ನೂ ಚಿಕ್ಕವರನ್ನೂ ನಿರ್ಮೂಲ ಮಾಡಿದೆವು, ಒಬ್ಬರನ್ನೂ ಉಳಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.

ನಾವು ಹೆಷ್ಬೋನಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೀಹೋನನಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ನಿರ್ಮೂಲ ಮಾಡಿದೆವು; ಗಂಡಸರನ್ನೂ ಹೆಂಗಸರನ್ನೂ ಮಕ್ಕ ಳನ್ನೂ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನೂ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ವಾಗಿ ನಿರ್ಮೂಲಮಾಡಿದೆವು.

ನೀನು ಅದರಂತೆ ಶಾಪಕ್ಕೊಳಗಾಗದ ಹಾಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯವಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮನೆಗೆ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಬರ ಬಾರದು; ಅದನ್ನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಅಸಹ್ಯಿಸಬೇಕು; ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಹೇಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅದು ಶಪಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟದ್ದೇ.
Numbers 21:2

ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಯಾವದಾದರೂ ಅಂದರೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನಾಗಲಿ ಪಶುವನ್ನಾಗಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಸ್ವಾಸ್ತ್ಯದ ಹೊಲವನ್ನಾಗಲಿ ತನಗಿದ್ದದ್ದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಕರ್ತನಿಗಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕಿಸಿದರೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಮಾರಬಾರದು ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ವಿಮೋಚಿಸಬಾರದು; ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕಿ ಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಅತೀ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ವಾದದ್ದೇ.
