Amos 5:19
ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಸಿಂಹದಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಓಡಿಹೋಗಿ ಕರಡಿಯನ್ನು ಎದುರುಗೊಂಡ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಅವನು ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಗೋಡೆಗೆ ತನ್ನ ಕೈ ಒರಗಿ ಸಿದಾಗ ಸರ್ಪವು ಕಚ್ಚಿದ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಇರುವದು.

Acts 28:4
ಆ ವಿಷಜಂತು ಅವನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಜೋತಾಡುವದನ್ನು ಆ ಅನಾಗರಿಕರು ನೋಡಿ--ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಸಮುದ್ರದಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡರೂ ಪ್ರತೀಕಾರವು ಇವನನ್ನು ಬದುಕಗೊಡಿಸು ವದಿಲ್ಲ. ಇವನು ನಿಸ್ಸಂದೇಹವಾಗಿ ಕೊಲೆ ಪಾತಕನು ಎಂದು ತಮ್ಮತಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.
