ಆಗ ಅಬ್ಷಾ ಲೋಮನೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರೂಅಹೀತೋಫೆಲನ ಆಲೋಚನೆಗಿಂತ ಅರ್ಕೀಯನಾದ ಹೂಷೈಯ ಆಲೋಚನೆ ಒಳ್ಳೇದು ಅಂದರು. ತಾನು ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೇಡನ್ನು ಬರಮಾಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅಹೀತೋಫೆಲನ ಒಳ್ಳೇ ಆಲೋಚನೆಯನ್ನು ವ್ಯರ್ಥಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಕರ್ತನು ನೇಮಿಸಿದ್ದನು.

ಆ ದಿವಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಹೀತೋಫೆಲನು ಆಲೋಚಿಸಿದ ಆಲೋಚನೆಯು ಒಬ್ಬನು ದೈವೋಕ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಇತ್ತು. ಅಹೀತೋಫೆಲನ ಆಲೋಚನೆಯೆಲ್ಲಾ ದಾವೀದನಿಗೂ ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನಿಗೂ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಇತ್ತು.

ಅಹೀತೋಫೆಲನು ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋ ಮನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಳಸಂಚಿನವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದಾ ನೆಂದು ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಾಗ ದಾವೀದನು--ಕರ್ತನೇ, ಅಹೀತೋಫೆಲನ ಆಲೋಚನೆಯನ್ನು ಹುಚ್ಚುತನವಾಗ ಮಾಡು ಅಂದನು.
