Ecclesiastes 4:16
ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರಿಗೂ ಅವರಿಗಿಂತ ಮುಂಚೆ ಇದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲವುಗಳಿಗೂ ಅಂತ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ; ಅವನ ತರುವಾಯ ಬರುವವನು ಸಹ ಅವನಲ್ಲಿ ಆನಂದಿಸುವದಿಲ್ಲ. ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿಯೂ ಇದೂ ಕೂಡ ವ್ಯರ್ಥವೂ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಆಯಾಸಕರವೂ ಆಗಿದೆ.

ಆದಕಾರಣ ಜೀವವನ್ನು ನಾನು ಹಗೆಮಾಡಿದೆನು; ಸೂರ್ಯನ ಕೆಳಗೆ ನಡೆಯುವ ಕಾರ್ಯವು ವ್ಯಥೆಯಾಗಿ ನನಗೆ ತೋರಿತು; ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವ್ಯರ್ಥವೂ ಪ್ರಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಆಯಾಸಕ ರವೂ ಆಗಿವೆ.

ಯೆರುಬ್ಬಾಳನ ಯೋಗ್ಯ ತೆಗೆ ತಕ್ಕದ್ದಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಈಹೊತ್ತು ಅವನಿಗೂ ಅವನ ಮಗನಿಗೂ ನೀವು ಸತ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಯಥಾರ್ಥ ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕಾರ್ಯಮಾಡಿದ್ದರೆ, ಅಬೀಮೆಲೆಕನಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ಸಂತೋಷಪಡಿರಿ, ಅವನು ಸಹ ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂತೋಷಪಡಲಿ.
