ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ದಾನಿಯೇಲನು ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಜೊತೆಗಾರರಾದ ಹನನ್ಯ, ವಿಾಶಾಯೇಲ, ಅಜ ರ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಈ ಸಂಗತಿಯನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿದನು.

ಈಗ ನೀನು ಬಾಬೆಲ್ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದ ಕೆಲಸಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಇಟ್ಟಿರುವ ಕೆಲವರು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ಇದ್ದಾರೆ, ಅಂದರೆ ಶದ್ರಕ್ ಮೇಷಕ್ ಅಬೇದ್ನೆಗೋ. ಓ ಅರಸನೇ, ಈ ಮನು ಷ್ಯರು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಲಕ್ಷಿಸುವದಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರು ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರು ಗಳನ್ನೂ ನೀನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿರುವ ಬಂಗಾರದ ಪ್ರತಿಮೆಯ ನ್ನಾದರೂ ಸೇವಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
