Ezekiel 23:7
ಅವರಿಗೆ ಅವಳು ತನ್ನನ್ನು ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರಿಣಿಯಾಗಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದಳು, ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಅಶ್ಶೂರದಲ್ಲಿ ಆರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವರಾಗಿದ್ದರು. (ನೇಮಿಸ ಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವರು) ಅವಳು ಯಾರನ್ನು ಮೋಹಿಸಿದಳೋ ಅವರ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳಿಂದ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಅಪವಿತ್ರಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಳು.

ಆಮೇಲೆ ನಾನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬೊಬ್ಬನು ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯವಾದವುಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಸಾಡಿ. ಐಗುಪ್ತದ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳಿಂದ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಅಶುದ್ಧಪಡಿಸಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಡಿರಿ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಾನಾಗಿರು ವೆನು ಅಂದೆನು.
ಯೆಹೆಜ್ಕೇಲನು 22:3
ನೀನು ಹೇಳಬೇಕಾದದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ, ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ--ಪಟ್ಟಣವು ಅದರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅದರ ಕಾಲ ಬರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನು ಚೆಲ್ಲುತ್ತದೆ. ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಅಶುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ತನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ.
