2 Samuel 20:11
ಯೋವಾಬನ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನು ಸತ್ತವನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತು--ಯಾವನು ಯೋವಾಬನ ಮೇಲೆ ಇಷ್ಟವುಳ್ಳವನೋ ಯಾವನು ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ಹೊಂದಿದವನೋ ಅವನು ಯೋವಾಬನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಹೋಗಲಿ ಅಂದನು.

ಆದದರಿಂದ ದಾವೀದನು ಅಬೀಷೈಗೆಈಗ ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನಿಗಿಂತ ಬಿಕ್ರಿಯ ಮಗನಾದ ಶೆಬನು ನಮಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಕೇಡನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವನು. ಅವನು ತನಗೆ ಗಡಿ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಾದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಪಾ ದಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ನಮ್ಮಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳದ ಹಾಗೆ ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಯಜಮಾನನ ಸೇವಕರನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಹೊರಟು ಅವನನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟು ಅಂದನು.

ಕಾರ್ಯವು ಹಾಗಲ್ಲ; ಬಿಕ್ರೀಯ ಮಗನಾದ ಶೆಬನೆಂಬ ಹೆಸರುಳ್ಳ ಎಫ್ರಾಯಾಮ್ ಬೆಟ್ಟದವನಾದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಅರಸನಾದ ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಕೈಯನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ನೀವು ಅವನೊಬ್ಬನನ್ನೇ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಡಿರಿ; ಆಗ ನಾನು ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋಗುವೆನು ಅಂದನು. ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ಯೋವಾಬನಿಗೆ--ಇಗೋ, ಅವನ ತಲೆಯು ಗೋಡೆಯ ಮೇಲಿನಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹಾಕಲ್ಪಡುವದು ಅಂದಳು.

ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಮುಖವನ್ನು ಆ ಕಿಟಕಿಯ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಎತ್ತಿ--ನನ್ನ ಕಡೆ ಇರುವವರು ಯಾರು ಅಂದನು. ಆಗ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಮೂವರು ಕಂಚುಕಿಗಳು ಆ ಕಿಟಕಿ ಯಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಅವನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದರು.
