Amos 5:27
ಆದದರಿಂದ ದಮಸ್ಕದ ಆಚೆ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸೆರೆಗೆ ತಳ್ಳುವೆನೆಂದು ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳ ದೇವರೆಂದು ಹೆಸರುಗೊಂಡ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.

ಇಗೋ, ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸಿ ಗಾಳಿ ಯನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಅವನ ಯೋಚನೆ ಏನೆಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿ ಉದಯವನ್ನು ಅಂಧಕಾರವನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಉನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳನ್ನು ತುಳಿದು ಬಿಡುವಾತನು ಆತನೇ. ಕರ್ತನೂ ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳ ದೇವರೂ ಎಂಬದು ಆತನ ಹೆಸರು.

ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ಪೆಕಹನ ದಿವಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಶ್ಶೂರದ ಅರಸ ನಾದ ತಿಗ್ಲತ್ಪಿಲೆಸೆರನು ಬಂದು ನೆಫ್ತಾಲಿಯ ದೇಶವಾದ ಇಯ್ಯೋನನ್ನೂ ಅಬೇಲ್ಬೆತ್ಮಾಕವನ್ನೂ ಯಾನೋಹ ವನ್ನೂ ಕೆದೆಷನ್ನೂ ಹಾಚೋರನ್ನೂ ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದನ್ನೂ ಗಲಿಲಾಯವನ್ನೂ ಹಿಡುಕೊಂಡು ಜನರನ್ನು ಸೆರೆಯಾಗಿ ಅಶ್ಯೂರಿಗೆ ಒಯ್ದನು.
