ನಾನು ಅನ್ಯಾಯಮಾಡಿದವ ನಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಮರಣದಂಡನೆಗೆ ಕಾರಣವಾದ ಯಾವದನ್ನಾದರೂ ನಡಿಸಿದ್ದರೆ ಸಾಯುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನು ಬೇಡವೆನ್ನುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವರು ತಪ್ಪು ಹೊರಿಸುವವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವದೂ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಹೋದರೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಯಾವ ಮನುಷ್ಯನೂ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಲಾರನು; ನಾನು ಕೈಸರ

ಆದರೆ ಮರಣದಂಡನೆಗೆ ಕಾರಣವಾದ ಯಾವ ದನ್ನೂ ಇವನು ಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ನಾನು ಕಂಡು ಕೊಂಡೆನು. ತಾನೇ ಔಗುಸ್ತನ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳು ತ್ತೇನೆಂದು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದರಿಂದ ಇವನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸು ವದಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನು ತೀರ್ಮಾನಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ.

ದಾವೀದನು ತನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ--ನಾನು ಎಂದಿಗಾದರೂ ಒಂದು ದಿನ ಸೌಲನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಮಡಿದುಹೋಗುತ್ತೇನೆ. ನಾನು ತ್ವರೆಯಾಗಿ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಓಡಿಹೋಗುವ ದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ನನಗೆ ಉತ್ತಮವಾದ ಕಾರ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ಸೌಲನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಲು ದಿಕ್ಕು ಕಾಣದೆ ಹೋಗುವನು. ಈ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನಾನು ಅವನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವೆನು ಅಂದು ಕೊಂಡನು.
1 Samuel 12:3
ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ಇಲ್ಲಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಕರ್ತನ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ಆತನ ಅಭಿಷಿಕ್ತನ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಕೊಡಿರಿ. ನಾನು ಯಾರ ಎತ್ತನ್ನಾದರೂ ಕತ್ತೆಯ ನ್ನಾದರೂ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡೆನೋ? ಯಾರಿಗಾದರೂ ವಂಚನೆ ಮಾಡಿದೆನೋ? ಯಾರನ್ನಾದರೂ ಹಿಂಸಿಸಿ ದೆನೋ? ಯಾರಿಂದಲಾದರೂ ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಮರೆಮಾಡುವ ಲಂಚವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡೆನೋ? ಹೀಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಹೇಳಿರಿ ತಿರಿಗಿಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.
Joshua 22:22
ದೇವಾದಿ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನೇ, ದೇವಾದಿ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನೇ ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರಿಗೂ ತಿಳಿಯುವದು. ಇದು ತಿರುಗಿ ಬೀಳುವದರಿಂದಲಾದರೂ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಅಪರಾಧಮಾಡುವದರಿಂದಲಾದರೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದರೆ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಈಹೊತ್ತು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಬಾರದು.
