Acts 19:24
ಹೇಗಂದರೆ ದೇಮೇತ್ರಿಯನೆಂಬ ಒಬ್ಬ ಅಕ್ಕಸಾಲಿಗನು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯಿಂದ ಡಯಾನಿಗೆ ಗುಡಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಸುವವನಾಗಿದ್ದು ಆ ಕಸಬಿನವರಿಗೆ ಬಹಳ ಲಾಭವನ್ನುಂಟುಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.

ಇದರಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮ ಈ ಉದ್ಯೋಗಕ್ಕೆ ಅಪಾಯ ಬರುವ ಹಾಗಿರುವದಲ್ಲದೆ ಡಯಾನಿ ಮಹಾದೇವಿಯ ಗುಡಿಯು ಗಣನೆಗೆ ಬಾರದೆ ಹೋಗುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಆಸ್ಯಸೀಮೆ ಮತ್ತು ಲೊಕವು ಪೂಜಿಸುವ ಈಕೆಯ ವೈಭವವು ನಾಶವಾಗ ತಕ್ಕದೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
Acts 19:34
ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯನೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದಾಗ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಒಂದೇ ಶಬ್ದದಿಂದ--ಎಫೆಸದವರ ಡಯಾನಿ ದೊಡ್ಡವಳು ಎಂದು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಎರಡು ಘಂಟೆ ಹೊತ್ತು ಕೂಗಿದರು.

ಆದರೆ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವಂತರಾಗ ಬೇಕೆಂದು ಮನಸ್ಸು ಮಾಡುವವರು ಶೋಧನೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಉರ್ಲಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಕೊಂಡು ಅನೇಕ ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನತೆಯ ಮತ್ತು ಹಾನಿಕರವಾದ ದುರಾಶೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬೀಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಇಂಥ ಆಶೆಗಳು ಮನುಷ್ಯರನ್ನು ಸಂಹಾರ ನಾಶನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಳುಗಿಸುತ್ತವೆ.
