ಯೋಹಾನನು ಸಾರಿದ ಬಾಪ್ತಿಸ್ಮದ ತರುವಾಯ ಆ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ಗಲಿಲಾಯದಿಂದ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಗಿ ಯೂದಾಯದಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರಬಲವಾಯಿ ತೆಂಬದನ್ನೂ

ಯೋಹಾನನ ಬಾಪ್ತಿಸ್ಮ ಮೊದಲು ಗೊಂಡು ಆತನು ನಮ್ಮಿಂದ ಎತ್ತಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ದಿನದವರೆಗೆ ನಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗೆ ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಆತನ ಪುನರುತ್ಥಾನದ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಗಿರುವಂತೆ ನೇಮಿಸತಕ್ಕದ್ದು.
