Judges 3:31
ಅವನ ತರುವಾಯ ಅನಾತನ ಮಗನಾದ ಶಮ್ಗರನು ಎದ್ದನು. ಅವನು ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಆರು ನೂರು ಮನುಷ್ಯರನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿನ ಮುಳ್ಳುಗೋಲಿನಿಂದ ಹತಮಾಡಿದನು. ಅವನು ಸಹ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿದನು.

ಸಮುವೇಲನ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ಸಮಸ್ತ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇ ಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಟ್ಟಿತು. ಆದರೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇ ಲ್ಯರು ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟು ಎಬೆನೆಜೆರಿನ ಸವಿಾಪದಲ್ಲಿ ದಂಡಿಳಿದರು. ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರು ಅಫೇಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ದಂಡಿಳಿದರು.

ಅವನು ಒಂದು ಕತ್ತೆ ದವಡೆಯ ಹೊಸ ಎಲು ಬನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡು ತನ್ನ ಕೈಯನ್ನು ಚಾಚಿ ಅದನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಅದರಿಂದ ಸಾವಿರ ಜನರನ್ನು ವಧಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟನು.

ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡು ಅವ ರನ್ನು ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ಕೈಗೂ ಅಮ್ಮೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಕೈಗೂ ಮಾರಿಬಿಟ್ಟನು.

ಆಗ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಕೂಗಿದರು. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಒಂಭೈನೂರು ಕಬ್ಬಿಣದ ರಥಗಳಿ ದ್ದವು; ಅವನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ವರುಷ ಬಲವಾಗಿ ಬಾಧೆಪಡಿಸಿದನು.
Judges 4:1
ಆದರೆ ಏಹೂದನು ಸತ್ತತರುವಾಯ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಕರ್ತನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಟ್ಟತನಮಾಡಿದರು.
