ಇದು ಸಾಲದೆ ಇದ್ದರೆ ಇಂಥಿಂಥವುಗಳನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆನು. ನೀನು ಕರ್ತನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಗೆ ಈ ಕೆಟ್ಟಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಆತನ ಆಜ್ಞೆ ಯನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಿದ್ದೇನು? ನೀನು ಹಿತ್ತಿಯನಾದ ಊರೀಯನನ್ನು ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಕೊಲ್ಲಿಸಿ ಅವನ ಹೆಂಡತಿ ಯನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾಗಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡಿ; ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ಅಮ್ಮೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಕೊಂದು ಹಾಕಿಸಿದಿ.

ಈಗ ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಿ ಹಿತ್ತಿಯ ನಾದ ಊರೀಯನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ ಹೆಂಡತಿ ಯಾಗಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡದ್ದರಿಂದ ಕತ್ತಿಯು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.

ಉದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ದಾವೀದನು ಯೋವಾಬನಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಪತ್ರವನ್ನು ಬರೆದು ಊರೀಯನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.
