ಊರೀಯನು ದಾವೀದ ನಿಗೆ--ಮಂಜೂಷವೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರೂ ಯೆಹೂದ ದವರೂ ಡೇರೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸಿರುವಾಗಲೂ ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನಾದ ಯೋವಾಬನೂ ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನ ಸೇವ ಕರೂ ಬೈಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ದಂಡಿಳಿದಿರುವಾಗ ನಾನು ಉಣ್ಣುವ ದಕ್ಕೂ ಕುಡಿಯುವದಕ್ಕೂ ನನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಲಗುವದಕ್ಕೂ ನನ್ನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಲೋ? ನಿನ್ನ ಜೀವದಾಣೆ, ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣದ ಜೀವದಾಣೆ, ನಾನು ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಮಾಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂದನು.
