ಆಗ ಊರು ಬಾಗಲ ದ್ವಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಲ್ಕುಮಂದಿ ಕುಷ್ಠರೋಗಿಗಳು ಇದ್ದರು. ಅವರು ಒಬ್ಬರಿಗೊಬ್ಬರುನಾವು ಸಾಯುವ ವರೆಗೂ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡಿ ರುವದೇನು?

2 Kings 5:1
ಅರಾಮ್ಯರ ಅರಸನ ಸೈನ್ಯಾಧಿಪತಿಯಾದ ನಾಮಾನನು ತನ್ನ ಯಜಮಾನನ ಮುಂದೆ ದೊಡ್ಡವನಾಗಿಯೂ ಘನವುಳ್ಳವನಾಗಿಯೂ ಇದ್ದನು. ಕರ್ತನು ಅವನಿಂದ ಅರಾಮ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡಿದ್ದನು; ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವನು ಪರಾಕ್ರಮ ಶಾಲಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದನು. ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ಕುಷ್ಠರೋಗಿಯಾ ಗಿದ್ದನು.

ನಾವು ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುವೆವು ಅಂದರೆ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರವಿರುವದರಿಂದ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಯುತ್ತೇವೆ; ಇಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ಕುಳಿತಿದ್ದರೂ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಸಾಯು ತ್ತೇವೆ. ಆದದರಿಂದ ನಾವು ಅರಾಮ್ಯರ ಪಾಳೆಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗೋಣ ಬನ್ನಿರಿ; ಅವರು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬದುಕಿಸಿದರೆ ಬದುಕುವೆವು, ಸಾಯಿಸಿದರೆ ಸಾಯುವೆವು ಅಂದು ಕೊಂಡರು.

ಅರಸನು ದೇವರ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಸೇವ ಕನಾದ ಗೇಹಜಿಯ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ--ಎಲೀ ಷನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ವಿವರವಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿಸೆಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು.
Jeremiah 8:14
ನಾವು ಯಾಕೆ ಸುಮ್ಮನೆ ಕೂತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವದು? ನೀವು ಕೂಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ, ನಾವು ಕೋಟೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸೋಣ, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಮೌನವಾಗಿರೋಣ. ನಾವು ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧ ವಾಗಿ ಪಾಪಮಾಡಿದ ಕಾರಣ ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಮೌನವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿ ನಮಗೆ ವಿಷದ ನೀರನ್ನು ಕುಡಿಯಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಸೇವೆ ಮಾಡದ ಜನಾಂಗಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಕರ್ತನು ಮಾತ ನಾಡಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ--ನೀನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಜನರೂ ಯಾಕೆ ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದಲೂ ಕ್ಷಾಮದಿಂದಲೂ ಜಾಡ್ಯದಿಂದಲೂ ಸಾಯುವಿರಿ?
