ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರನ್ನು ಪಾಪಮಾಡಲು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಿದ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನ ಮನೆಯ ಪಾಪ ಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಬಿಡದೆ ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲೇ ನಡೆದರು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಸಮಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ತೋಪು ನೆಲೆಯಾಗಿತ್ತು.

ಅರ ಸನು--ಬಾಳನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ವಿಗ್ರಹದ ತೋಪುಗಳಿ ಗೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ಆಕಾಶದ ಸೈನ್ಯಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ಮಾಡ ಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕರ್ತನ ಆಲಯದಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಬರಬೇಕೆಂದು ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಯಾಜಕ ನಾದ ಹಿಲ್ಕೀಯನಿಗೂ ಎರಡನೇ ತರಗತಿಯ ಯಾಜಕ ರಿಗೂ ದ್ವಾರಪಾಲಕರಿಗೂ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದನು ಮತ್ತು ಅವನು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಹೊರಗೆ ಕಿದ್ರೋನ್ ಹೊಲಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಡಿಸಿ ಅವುಗಳ ಬೂದಿ ಯನ್ನು ಬೇತೇಲಿಗೆ ತರುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದನು.
