1 Samuel 13:12
ನಾನು ಕಂಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರು ಗಿಲ್ಗಾಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ರುವ ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರುವರು ಎಂದೂ ನಾನು ಕರ್ತನ ದಯೆ ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದೂ ಹೇಳಿ ಮುಂದಾಗಿ ದಹನಬಲಿಯನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದೆನು ಅಂದನು.

| upon | אֵלַי֙ | ʾēlay | ay-LA |
| me to Gilgal, | הַגִּלְגָּ֔ל | haggilgāl | ha-ɡeel-ɡAHL |
| not have I and | וּפְנֵ֥י | ûpĕnê | oo-feh-NAY |
| made supplication | יְהוָ֖ה | yĕhwâ | yeh-VA |
| unto | לֹ֣א | lōʾ | loh |
| the Lord: | חִלִּ֑יתִי | ḥillîtî | hee-LEE-tee |
| myself forced I | וָֽאֶתְאַפַּ֔ק | wāʾetʾappaq | va-et-ah-PAHK |
| therefore, and offered | וָאַֽעֲלֶ֖ה | wāʾaʿăle | va-ah-uh-LEH |
| a burnt offering. | הָֽעֹלָֽה׃ | hāʿōlâ | HA-oh-LA |
