1 Peter 3:18
ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನು ಸಹ ನೀತಿವಂತ ನಾಗಿದ್ದು ಅನೀತಿವಂತರಾದ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ದೇವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತರುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಪಾಪನಿವಾರಣೆಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಒಂದೇ ಸಾರಿ ಬಾಧೆಪಟ್ಟು ಶರೀರದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಲ್ಲಲ್ಪಟ್ಟನು, ಆತ್ಮನಿಂದ ಬದುಕುವವನಾದನು.
