ಈ ಜನರು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಕರ್ತನ ಮಂದಿರಕ್ಕೆ ಬಲಿ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಲು ಹೋದರೆ ಆಗ ಈ ಜನರ ಹೃದಯವು ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ರೆಹಬ್ಬಾಮನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಅಂದರೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಯಜಮಾನನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ತಿರುಗುವದು. ಅವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದು ಹಾಕಿ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ರೆಹೆಬ್ಬಾಮನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿ ಹೋದಾರು.

ಹೀಗಿರುವದರಿಂದ ಐಗುಪ್ತ್ಯರು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ--ಈಕೆಯು ಅವನ ಹೆಂಡತಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವರು. ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಜೀವದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿಸುವರು.
