ಆಗ ಕೆಲವರು ಹೋಗಿ ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯರನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ನಾಚಿಕೆಪಟ್ಟದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರನ್ನು ಎದುರುಗೊಳ್ಳಲು ಸೇವ ಕರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ಅರಸನು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನಿಮ್ಮ ಗಡ್ಡಗಳು ಬೆಳೆಯುವ ವರೆಗೂ ಯೆರಿಕೋವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇರ್ರಿ; ಆಮೇಲೆ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಬನ್ನಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
