בָּעֵ֣ת that ba-ATE הַהִ֗יא time ha-HEE אָמַ֤ר the ah-MAHR יְהוָה֙ Lord yeh-VA אֶל said el יְהוֹשֻׁ֔עַ unto yeh-hoh-SHOO-ah עֲשֵׂ֥ה Joshua, uh-SAY לְךָ֖ Make leh-HA חַֽרְב֣וֹת thee hahr-VOTE צֻרִ֑ים sharp tsoo-REEM וְשׁ֛וּב knives, veh-SHOOV מֹ֥ל and mole אֶת circumcise et בְּנֵֽי again beh-NAY יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל yees-ra-ALE שֵׁנִֽית׃ the shay-NEET -
וַיַּֽעַשׂ Joshua va-YA-as ל֥וֹ made loh יְהוֹשֻׁ֖עַ him yeh-hoh-SHOO-ah חַֽרְב֣וֹת sharp hahr-VOTE צֻרִ֑ים knives, tsoo-REEM וַיָּ֙מָל֙ and va-YA-MAHL אֶת circumcised et בְּנֵ֣י beh-NAY יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל the yees-ra-ALE אֶל children el גִּבְעַ֖ת of ɡeev-AT הָֽעֲרָלֽוֹת׃ Israel HA-uh-ra-LOTE -
וְזֶ֥ה this veh-ZEH הַדָּבָ֖ר is ha-da-VAHR אֲשֶׁר the uh-SHER מָ֣ל cause mahl יְהוֹשֻׁ֑עַ why yeh-hoh-SHOO-ah כָּל Joshua kahl הָעָ֣ם did ha-AM הַיֹּצֵא֩ circumcise: ha-yoh-TSAY מִמִּצְרַ֨יִם All mee-meets-RA-yeem הַזְּכָרִ֜ים the ha-zeh-ha-REEM כֹּ֣ל׀ people kole אַנְשֵׁ֣י that an-SHAY הַמִּלְחָמָ֗ה came ha-meel-ha-MA מֵ֤תוּ out MAY-too בַמִּדְבָּר֙ of va-meed-BAHR בַּדֶּ֔רֶךְ Egypt, ba-DEH-rek בְּצֵאתָ֖ם that beh-tsay-TAHM מִמִּצְרָֽיִם׃ were mee-meets-RA-yeem -
כִּֽי all kee מֻלִ֣ים the moo-LEEM הָי֔וּ people ha-YOO כָּל that kahl הָעָ֖ם came ha-AM הַיֹּֽצְאִ֑ים out ha-yoh-tseh-EEM וְכָל were veh-HAHL הָ֠עָם circumcised: HA-ome הַיִּלֹּדִ֨ים but ha-yee-loh-DEEM בַּמִּדְבָּ֥ר all ba-meed-BAHR בַּדֶּ֛רֶךְ the ba-DEH-rek בְּצֵאתָ֥ם people beh-tsay-TAHM מִמִּצְרַ֖יִם that mee-meets-RA-yeem לֹא were loh מָֽלוּ׃ born ma-LOO -
כִּ֣י׀ the kee אַרְבָּעִ֣ים children ar-ba-EEM שָׁנָ֗ה of sha-NA הָֽלְכ֣וּ Israel ha-leh-HOO בְנֵֽי walked veh-NAY יִשְׂרָאֵל֮ forty yees-ra-ALE בַּמִּדְבָּר֒ years ba-meed-BAHR עַד in ad תֹּ֨ם the tome כָּל wilderness, kahl הַגּ֜וֹי till HA-ɡoy אַנְשֵׁ֤י all an-SHAY הַמִּלְחָמָה֙ the ha-meel-ha-MA הַיֹּֽצְאִ֣ים people ha-yoh-tseh-EEM מִמִּצְרַ֔יִם that mee-meets-RA-yeem אֲשֶׁ֥ר were uh-SHER לֹֽא men loh שָׁמְע֖וּ of shome-OO בְּק֣וֹל war, beh-KOLE יְהוָ֑ה which yeh-VA אֲשֶׁ֨ר came uh-SHER נִשְׁבַּ֤ע out neesh-BA יְהוָה֙ of yeh-VA לָהֶ֔ם Egypt, la-HEM לְבִלְתִּ֞י were leh-veel-TEE הַרְאוֹתָ֣ם consumed, hahr-oh-TAHM אֶת because et הָאָ֗רֶץ they ha-AH-rets אֲשֶׁר֩ obeyed uh-SHER נִשְׁבַּ֨ע not neesh-BA יְהוָ֤ה the yeh-VA לַֽאֲבוֹתָם֙ voice la-uh-voh-TAHM לָ֣תֶת of LA-tet לָ֔נוּ the LA-noo אֶ֛רֶץ Lord: EH-rets זָבַ֥ת unto za-VAHT חָלָ֖ב whom ha-LAHV וּדְבָֽשׁ׃ the oo-deh-VAHSH -
וְאֶת their veh-ET בְּנֵיהֶם֙ children, beh-nay-HEM הֵקִ֣ים whom hay-KEEM תַּחְתָּ֔ם he tahk-TAHM אֹתָ֖ם raised oh-TAHM מָ֣ל up mahl יְהוֹשֻׁ֑עַ in yeh-hoh-SHOO-ah כִּֽי their kee עֲרֵלִ֣ים stead, uh-ray-LEEM הָי֔וּ them ha-YOO כִּ֛י Joshua kee לֹֽא circumcised: loh מָ֥לוּ for MA-loo אוֹתָ֖ם they oh-TAHM בַּדָּֽרֶךְ׃ were ba-DA-rek -

וַיַּֽחֲנ֥וּ the va-ya-huh-NOO בְנֵֽי children veh-NAY יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל of yees-ra-ALE בַּגִּלְגָּ֑ל Israel ba-ɡeel-ɡAHL וַיַּֽעֲשׂ֣וּ encamped va-ya-uh-SOO אֶת in et הַפֶּ֡סַח Gilgal, ha-PEH-sahk בְּאַרְבָּעָה֩ and beh-ar-ba-AH עָשָׂ֨ר kept ah-SAHR י֥וֹם yome לַחֹ֛דֶשׁ the la-HOH-desh בָּעֶ֖רֶב passover ba-EH-rev בְּעַֽרְב֥וֹת on beh-ar-VOTE יְרִיחֽוֹ׃ the yeh-ree-HOH -

וַיִּשְׁבֹּ֨ת the va-yeesh-BOTE הַמָּ֜ן manna ha-MAHN מִֽמָּחֳרָ֗ת ceased mee-ma-hoh-RAHT בְּאָכְלָם֙ on beh-oke-LAHM מֵֽעֲב֣וּר the may-uh-VOOR הָאָ֔רֶץ morrow ha-AH-rets וְלֹא after veh-LOH הָ֥יָה they HA-ya ע֛וֹד had ode לִבְנֵ֥י eaten leev-NAY יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל of yees-ra-ALE מָ֑ן the mahn וַיֹּֽאכְל֗וּ old va-yoh-heh-LOO מִתְּבוּאַת֙ corn mee-teh-voo-AT אֶ֣רֶץ of EH-rets כְּנַ֔עַן the keh-NA-an בַּשָּׁנָ֖ה land; ba-sha-NA הַהִֽיא׃ neither ha-HEE -
וַיְהִ֗י it vai-HEE בִּֽהְי֣וֹת came bee-heh-YOTE יְהוֹשֻׁעַ֮ to yeh-hoh-shoo-AH בִּֽירִיחוֹ֒ pass, bee-ree-HOH וַיִּשָּׂ֤א when va-yee-SA עֵינָיו֙ Joshua ay-nav וַיַּ֔רְא was va-YAHR וְהִנֵּה by veh-hee-NAY אִישׁ֙ Jericho, eesh עֹמֵ֣ד that oh-MADE לְנֶגְדּ֔וֹ he leh-neɡ-DOH וְחַרְבּ֥וֹ lifted veh-hahr-BOH שְׁלוּפָ֖ה up sheh-loo-FA בְּיָד֑וֹ his beh-ya-DOH וַיֵּ֨לֶךְ eyes va-YAY-lek יְהוֹשֻׁ֤עַ and yeh-hoh-SHOO-ah אֵלָיו֙ looked, ay-lav וַיֹּ֣אמֶר and, va-YOH-mer ל֔וֹ behold, loh הֲלָ֥נוּ there huh-LA-noo אַתָּ֖ה stood ah-TA אִם a eem לְצָרֵֽינוּ׃ man leh-tsa-RAY-noo -
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר׀ he va-YOH-mer לֹ֗א said, loh כִּ֛י Nay; kee אֲנִ֥י but uh-NEE שַׂר as sahr צְבָֽא captain tseh-VA יְהוָ֖ה of yeh-VA עַתָּ֣ה the ah-TA בָ֑אתִי host VA-tee וַיִּפֹּל֩ of va-yee-POLE יְהוֹשֻׁ֨עַ the yeh-hoh-SHOO-ah אֶל Lord el פָּנָ֥יו am pa-NAV אַ֙רְצָה֙ I AR-TSA וַיִּשְׁתָּ֔חוּ now va-yeesh-TA-hoo וַיֹּ֣אמֶר come. va-YOH-mer ל֔וֹ And loh מָ֥ה Joshua ma אֲדֹנִ֖י fell uh-doh-NEE מְדַבֵּ֥ר on meh-da-BARE אֶל his el עַבְדּֽוֹ׃ face av-DOH -
וַיֹּאמֶר֩ the va-yoh-MER שַׂר captain sahr צְבָ֨א of tseh-VA יְהוָ֜ה the yeh-VA אֶל Lord's el יְהוֹשֻׁ֗עַ host yeh-hoh-SHOO-ah שַׁל said shahl נַֽעַלְךָ֙ unto na-al-HA מֵעַ֣ל Joshua, may-AL רַגְלֶ֔ךָ Loose rahɡ-LEH-ha כִּ֣י thy kee הַמָּק֗וֹם shoe ha-ma-KOME אֲשֶׁ֥ר from uh-SHER אַתָּ֛ה off ah-TA עֹמֵ֥ד thy oh-MADE עָלָ֖יו foot; ah-LAV קֹ֣דֶשׁ for KOH-desh ה֑וּא the hoo וַיַּ֥עַשׂ place va-YA-as יְהוֹשֻׁ֖עַ whereon yeh-hoh-SHOO-ah כֵּֽן׃ kane
