Genesis 4:7
यदि तू भला करे, तो क्या तेरी भेंट ग्रहण न की जाएगी? और यदि तू भला न करे, तो पाप द्वार पर छिपा रहता है, और उसकी लालसा तेरी और होगी, और तू उस पर प्रभुता करेगा।

| sin | לַפֶּ֖תַח | lappetaḥ | la-PEH-tahk |
| lieth | חַטָּ֣את | ḥaṭṭāt | ha-TAHT |
| at the door. | רֹבֵ֑ץ | rōbēṣ | roh-VAYTS |
| And unto thee | וְאֵלֶ֙יךָ֙ | wĕʾēlêkā | veh-ay-LAY-HA |
| desire, his be shall | תְּשׁ֣וּקָת֔וֹ | tĕšûqātô | teh-SHOO-ka-TOH |
| and thou | וְאַתָּ֖ה | wĕʾattâ | veh-ah-TA |
| shalt rule | תִּמְשָׁל | timšāl | teem-SHAHL |
