फिर शाऊल ने इस्राएलियों में से तीन हजार पुरूषों को अपने लिये चुन लिया; और उन में से दो हजार शाऊल के साथ मिकमाश में और बेतेल के पहाड़ पर रहे, और एक हजार योनातान के साथ बिन्यामीन के गिबा में रहे; और दूसरे सब लोगों को उसने अपने अपने डेरे में जाने को विदा किया।
