Acts 18:7
પાઉલે સભાસ્થાન છોડયું અને તિતસ યુસ્તસના ઘરે ગયો. આ માણસ સાચા દેવનું ભજન કરતો. તેનું ઘર સભાસ્થાનની બાજુમાં જ હતું.

તેઓએ કહ્યું, “એક પવિત્ર દૂતે કર્નેલિયસને તેના પોતાને ઘરે તને નિમંત્રણ આપવા કહ્યું. કર્નેલિયસ એક લશ્કરી અમલદાર છે. તે એક ભલો (ધાર્મિક) માણસ છે. તે દેવની ભક્તિ કરે છે. બધા યહૂદિઓ તેને માન આપે છે. તે દૂતે કર્નેલિયસને તેના ઘરે નિમંત્રણ આપવા કહ્યું તેથી તારે જે કંઈ કહેવું હોય તે ધ્યાનથી સાંભળે.”

જ્યારે પાઉલ અને બાર્નાબાસ સભાસ્થાન છોડતા હતા, લોકોએ પાઉલ અને બાર્નાબાસને આ પછીના બીજા વિશ્રામવારે આ વિષે વધારે કહેવા માટે ફરીથી આવવા કહ્યું.

કેટલાએક યહૂદિઓના મનનું સમાધાન થયું અને તેઓ પાઉલ અને સિલાસ સાથે જોડાયા. સભાસ્થાનમાં ત્યાં કેટલાએક ગ્રીક માણસો પણ હતા જેઓ સાચા દેવની ભક્તિ કરતા હતા. ત્યાં કેટલીએક મહત્વની સ્ત્રીઓ પણ હતી, આ લોકોમાંના ઘણા પાઉલ અને સિલાસ સાથે જોડાયા.
