યરીખોનગરના કરવાજાઓ બંધ કરી દેવામાં આવ્યા હતા, કારણ કે તેના લોકો ઇસ્રાએલીઓથી ભયભીત થયેલા હતા. કોઈ અંદર કે બહાર આવ-જા કરનું નહિ.

જો યહોવા ઘર ન બાંધે તો; બાંધનારાઓનો શ્રમ વ્યર્થ છે, અને જો યહોવા નગરનું રક્ષણ ન કરે તો; ચોકીદારનો ચોકી પહેરો સમયની બરબાદી છે!
