તેથી બધા જાદુગરો, મંત્રવિદો ઇલમીઓ અને જ્યોતિષીઓ મારી સમક્ષ આવ્યા અને મેં તેમને મારું સ્વપ્ન કહી સંભળાવ્યું, પણ તેઓ મને તેનો અર્થ જણાવી શક્યા નહિ.

સવારે તે આ સ્વપ્નો વિષે ચિંતીત હતો. તેણે મિસરના બધા જયોતિષીઓને તથા શાણા પુરુષોને નિમંત્રણ મોકલ્યા. જ્યારે તેઓ આવ્યા, ફારુને તેમને પોતાના સ્વપ્નો કહ્યાં; પરંતુ તેઓમાંથી કોઈ પણ તેનો અર્થ કહી શકયો નહિ.
દારિયેલ 2:1
રાજા નબૂખાદનેસ્સારને પોતાના રાજ્યકાળના બીજા વર્ષ દરમ્યાન એક ભયાનક સ્વપ્ન આવ્યું; તે ભયથી ધ્રુજી ગયો, તેની ઊંઘ હરામ થઇ ગઇ.
દારિયેલ 2:10
ભવિષ્યવેત્તાઓએ રાજાને જવાબ આપ્યો, “આ પૃથ્વી ઉપર એવો કોઇ નથી, જે આપ જાણવા માંગો છો તે કહી શકે. કોઇ રાજાએ, મહારાજાએ, આજ સુધી કોઇ જાદુગર, કે, મંત્રવિદને આવો સવાલ પૂછયો નથી.
દારિયેલ 2:27
દાનિયેલે રાજાને પ્રત્યુત્તર આપ્યો, “આપ નામદાર જે રહસ્ય જાણવા માંગો છો, તે આપને કોઇ વિદ્વાન, મંત્રવિદ, જાદુગર, કે, ભવિષ્યવેત્તા કહી શકે તેમ નથી.

યાન્નેસ અને યાંબ્રેસને યાદ કર. તેઓ મૂસાના વિરોધીઓ હતા. આ લોકોની બાબતમાં પણ એવું જ છે. તેઓ સત્યનો વિરોધ કરે છે. એ એવા લોકો છે જેમની વિચાર-શક્તિ ગૂંચવાઇ ગઇ છે. તેઓ વિશ્વાસનો માર્ગ અનુસરવામાં નિષ્ફળ ગયા છે.
