Romans 4:11
ઈબ્રાહિમ જ્યારે સુન્નત વગરનો હતો ત્યારે તે વિશ્વાસના માર્ગે દેવ સાથે ન્યાયી થયો હતો. તે સાબિત કરવા માટે પાછળથી તેણે સુન્નત કરાવી. આ રીતે ઈબ્રાહિમ જે બધા લોકોએ સુન્નત નથી કરાવી તેના પૂર્વજ છે તેથી દેવે આ લોકોને દેવ સાથે ન્યાયી હોવાની માન્યતા આપી છે.
