Nehemiah 1:5
મેં કહ્યું:“હે યહોવા આકાશના દેવ, મહાન અને ભયાવહ દેવ! જે પોતાના કરારને પાળે છે! તે પોતાના કરારને જે તેને ચાહે છે અને જે તેની આજ્ઞાનું પાલન કરે છે તેની સાથે વફાદારી પૂર્વક પાળે છે.
| And said, | וָֽאֹמַ֗ר | wāʾōmar | va-oh-MAHR |
| I beseech | אָֽנָּ֤א | ʾānnāʾ | ah-NA |
| thee, O Lord | יְהוָה֙ | yĕhwāh | yeh-VA |
| God | אֱלֹהֵ֣י | ʾĕlōhê | ay-loh-HAY |
| of heaven, | הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם | haššāmayim | ha-sha-MA-yeem |
| the great | הָאֵ֥ל | hāʾēl | ha-ALE |
| and terrible | הַגָּד֖וֹל | haggādôl | ha-ɡa-DOLE |
| God, | וְהַנּוֹרָ֑א | wĕhannôrāʾ | veh-ha-noh-RA |
| that keepeth | שֹׁמֵ֤ר | šōmēr | shoh-MARE |
| covenant | הַבְּרִית֙ | habbĕrît | ha-beh-REET |
| and mercy | וָחֶ֔סֶד | wāḥesed | va-HEH-sed |
| love that them for | לְאֹֽהֲבָ֖יו | lĕʾōhăbāyw | leh-oh-huh-VAV |
| him and observe | וּלְשֹֽׁמְרֵ֥י | ûlĕšōmĕrê | oo-leh-shoh-meh-RAY |
| his commandments: | מִצְוֹתָֽיו׃ | miṣwōtāyw | mee-ts-oh-TAIV |
