Matthew 23:23
“ઓ શાસ્ત્રીઓ તથા ફરોશીઓ, ઢોંગીઓ, તમને અફસોસ છે! તમે તમારી પાસે જે કાંઈ ફુદીનાનો, સૂવાનો, તથા જીરાનો દશમો ભાગ છે તે દેવને આપો છો. પરંતુ તમે વધારે નિયમશાસ્ત્રની મોટી વાતોનું પાલન કરતા નથી. તમે ન્યાયીકરણ, દયા અને વિશ્વાસની અવગણના કરો છો. તમારે આ બીજી બાબતોની ઉપેક્ષા કર્યા વિના તમારે આ બધાનું પાલન કરવું જોઈએ.
