Luke 20:1
એક દિવસ ઈસુ મંદિરમાં હતો. તે લોકોને બોધ આપતો હતો. ઈસુ દેવના રાજ્ય વિષેની સુવાર્તા લોકોને કહેતો હતો. ત્યારે મુખ્ય યાજકો, શાસ્ત્રીઓ અને વૃદ્ધ યહૂદિ આગેવાનો પણ ઈસુ સાથે વાત કરવા આવ્યા.

ઈસુ રોજ મંદિરમાં ઉપદેશ આપતો હતો. પણ મુખ્ય યાજકો, શાસ્ત્રીઓ તથા લોકોના મુખીઓ તેને મારી નાખવા ઈચ્છતા હતા.

ઈસુએ ઉત્તર આપ્યો, “હું હમેશા બધા જ લોકોને જાહેરમાં કહું છું. મેં હમેશા સભાસ્થાનોમાં અને મંદિરોમાં બોધ આપ્યો છે. બધા જ યહૂદિઓ ત્યાં ભેગા થતા હતા. મેં કદી ગુપ્ત રીતે કશું જ કહ્યું નથી.
પ્રેરિતોનાં ક્રત્યો 4:1
જ્યારે પિતર અને યોહાન લોકોને વાત કરતા હતા, ત્યારે કેટલાક માણસો તેમની પાસે આવ્યા. ત્યાં કેટલાક યહૂદિ યાજકો, મંદિરનું રક્ષણ કરતા સૈનિકોના સરદારો અને કેટલાક સદૂકિયો હતા.
પ્રેરિતોનાં ક્રત્યો 6:12
આમ કરીને આ યહૂદિઓએ લોકોને, વડીલો તથા શાસ્ત્રીઓને મૂંઝવણમાં મૂંક્યા. તેઓ એટલા બધા ઉશ્કેરાયા કે તેઓએ આવીને સ્તેફનને પકડી લીધો. તેઓ તેને યહૂદિઓના બોધકોની સભામાં લઈ ગયા.
