Judges 11:11
તેથી યફતાએ તેઓની માંગણી સ્વીકારી અને લોકોએ તેને તેમનો નેતા અને લશ્કરનો સેનાધિપતિ બનાવ્યો, અને યફતાએ મિસ્પાહમાં યહોવા સમક્ષ આ બધા વચનો ફરીથી કહી સંભળાવ્યા.

આથી તેઓ બધા ગિલ્ગાલ ગયા, અને ત્યાં યહોવા સમક્ષ શાઉલને પોતાના રાજા જાહેર કર્યો. તેઓએ યહોવાને શાંત્યર્પણો અર્પણ કર્યા; શાઉલે તથા ઇસ્રાએલના સર્વ પ્રજાજનોએ મોટો ઉત્સવ કર્યો.

દરેક ઉત્તમ વસ્તુ દેવ પાસેથી જ આવે છે અને બધીજ પરિપૂર્ણ ભેટો પ્રભુ તરફથી આવે છે. સર્વ પ્રકાશોના પિતા પાસેથી આ બધીજ શુભ વસ્તુઓ (સૂરજ, ચંદ્ધ, તારા) આવે છે. દેવ કદી બદલાતો નથી. તે સદાય એ જ રહે છે.

પણ જો તમારામાથી કોઈને પણ ડાહપણની જરુંર હશે, અને તમે દેવ પાસે તે માટે માગણી કરશો, તો તે તમને આપશે. દેવ સર્વને ઉદારતાથી ઠપકો આપ્યા વિના ડાહપણ આપે છે.

હું એમ નથી સમજતો કે અમે અમારી જાતે જે કાંઈ સારું છે તે કરવા અમે શક્તિમાન છીએ. તે દેવ એક છે જે આપણે કરીએ છીએ તે કરવાને આપણને શક્તિમાન બનાવે છે.
