Jeremiah 38:4
ત્યારબાદ પેલા અમલદારોએ રાજાને કહ્યું, “આ માણસને મારી નાખવો જોઇએ. આવી વાતો કરીને એ આપણા યોદ્ધાઓને અને નગરમાં બાકી રહેલા લોકોને નાહિંમત બનાવી દે છે. એ આ લોકોનું હિત કરવા નથી માગતો પણ વિનાશ કરવા માંગે છે. તે દેશદ્રોહી છે.”

આ માણસ (પાઉલ) પીડાકારક છે. તે દુનિયામાં દરેક જગ્યાએ યહૂદિઓમાં મતભેદ ફેલાવે છે. તે નાઝરેથના સમૂહનો આગેવાન છે.

પણ તેઓ પાઉલ અને સિલાસને શોધી શક્યા નહિ. તેથી તે લોકોએ યાસોન અને બીજા કેટલાએક વિશ્વાસીઓને શહેરના આગેવાનો આગળ ઘસડી લાવ્યા. તે બધા લોકોએ બૂમો પાડી. “આ માણસોએ વિશ્વમાં દરેક જગ્યાએ મુશ્કેલી ઊભી કરી છે. અને તેઓ હવે અહીં આવ્યા છે.
