આ ઇસહાકની કથા છે. ઇબ્રાહિમનો એક પુત્ર ઇસહાક હતો.

‘દેવે ઈબ્રાહિમ સાથે કરાર કર્યો; આ કરારની નિશાની સુન્નત હતી. અને તેથી જ્યારે ઈબ્રાહિમને પુત્ર થયો ત્યારે તે આઠ દિવસનો થતાં જ તેણે તેની સુન્નત કરી. તેના પુત્રનું નામ ઈસહાક હતું. ઇસહાકે પણ યાકૂબની સુન્નત કરી. અને યાકૂબે તેના પુત્રો માટે એમ જ કર્યુ. આ પુત્રો આગળ જતાં બાર પૂર્વજો થયા.
