“ગાદના પ્રાંતની દક્ષિણ સરહદ તામારથી મરીબાથ કાદેશનાં રણદ્વીપ સુધી અને પછી વાયવ્ય દિશામાં મિસરની સરહદથી ભૂમધ્ય સમુદ્ર સુધી જાય છે.

હઝકિયેલ 47:10
મૃતસમુદ્રના કાંઠે માછીમારો ઊભા રહેશે અને એન-ગેદીથી છેક એન-એગ્લાઇમ સુધી સર્વ જગ્યાએ માછલાં પકડશે. તેનો કિનારો માછલી પકડવાની જાળો પાથરવાનું સ્થળ બની રહેશે અને ત્યાં મોટા સમુદ્રમાં છે તેમ વિવિધ પ્રકારની માછલીઓ હશે.

આ સ્થળનું નામ ‘મરીબાહ’ નું પાણી એટલે ‘તકરારનું પાણી’ પાડવામાં આવ્યું કારણ કે, ‘મરીબાહ’ ના ઝરા આગળ આ બન્યું હતું. જયાં ઇસ્રાએલીઓએ યહોવા વિરુદ્ધ ઝઘડો કર્યો હતો અને જયાં યહોવાએ તેમને પરચો બતાવ્યો હતો.

ગણના 20:1
પહેલા મહિનામાં બધાં ઇસ્રાએલીઓ સીનના અરણ્યમાં આવ્યાં અને કાદેશમાં પડાવ નાખ્યો. ત્યાં મરિયમનું અવસાન થતાં તેને દફનાવવામાં આવી.
