1 Samuel 10:8
“તું માંરા પહેલાં ગિલ્ગાલ ચાલ્યો જજે. પછી હું તને ત્યાં મળવા આવીશ. ત્યાં હું તને દહનાર્પણો તથા શાંત્યર્પણો અર્પણ કરીશ. પણ તારે સાત દિવસ સુધી માંરી રાહ જોવી; પછી હું આવીશ અને તને કહીશ કે તારે શું કરવું.”

શમુએલે કહ્યું, “તારી તરવારે ઘણી માંતાઓને પુત્રહીન બનાવી છે, એટલે હવે તારી માંતા પુત્રહીન બનશે.” અને તેણે ગિલ્ગાલની વેદી સામે અગાગને કાપી નાખ્યો.
