Mark 9:9
ઈસુ અને તેના શિષ્યો પર્વત પરથી નીચે પાછા ઉતરતા હતા ત્યારે ઈસુએ શિષ્યોને આજ્ઞા કરી, ‘તમે પર્વત પર જે વસ્તુઓ જોઈ છે તે વિષે કોઈ વ્યક્તિને કહેશો નહિ. માણસનો પુત્ર મૂએલામાંથી સજીવન ન થાય ત્યાં સુધી રાહ જુઓ. પછી તમે જે જોયું છે તે લોકોને કહી શકો છો.’

ઈસુ અને તેની સાથેના લોકો યરૂશાલેમ જતા હતા. ઈસુ લોકોને દોરતો હતો. ઈસુના શિષ્યો આશ્ચર્યચકિત થઈ ગયા. પણ પેલા લોકો જે તેની પાછળ આવતા હતા તેઓ બીતાં હતા. ઈસુએ ફરીથી બાર પ્રેરિતોને ભેગા કર્યા. અને તેઓની સાથે એકલા વાત કરી. ઈસુએ યરૂશાલેમમાં શું થશે તે તેઓને કહ્યું.

પછી ઈસુ અને તેના શિષ્યોએ તે જગ્યા છોડી. તેઓ ગાલીલમાં થઈને ગયા. ઈસુ ક્યાં હતો તે લોકો જાણે એમ ઈચ્છતો ન હતો.

પછી ઈસુએ પૂછયું, ‘હું કોણ છું એ વિષે તમે શું કહો છો?’પિતરે ઉત્તર આપ્યો, ‘તુ તો ખ્રિસ્ત છે.’

તેઓએ કહ્યું, “સાહેબ, અમે યાદ કરીએ છીએ કે, જ્યારે તે ઠગ જીવતો હતો ત્યારે તે કહેતો હતો કે ત્રણ દહાડા પછી હું મરણમાંથી સજીવન થઈશ.’
