Mark 2:16

Isaiah 65:5
“તેમ છતાં તેઓ એકબીજાને કહે છે, ‘મારી વધારે નજીક ન આવશો, નહિ. તો હું તમને પવિત્ર બનાવી દઇશ!’ તેઓ મને ગૂંગળાવે છે; તેઓ મને સતત ક્રોધિત કરે છે.”

ઈસુ વિષે વિચાર કરો. પાપીઓ તરફથી તેણે આવો મોટો વિરોધ સહન કર્યો. તેઓએ તેની સાથે ક્રૂર વર્તાવ કર્યો હતો, છતાં તેણે ધીરજ રાખી હતી. તેમ તમે પણ પ્રયત્ન છોડીના દો અને ધીરજ રાખો.

પછી ફરોશીઓ તથા શાસ્ત્રીઓએ ફરિયાદ કરવાની શરુંઆત કરી. “જુઓ! આ માણસ (ઈસુ) પાપીઓને આવકારે છે અને તેઓની સાથે ખાય છે!”
Mark 2:7
‘આ માણસ આમ કેમ કહે છે? તે જે કહે છે તે દેવની વિરૂદ્ધ છે. ફક્ત દેવ જ પાપોને માફ કરા શકે.’
Matthew 18:17
આમ છતાં એ ધ્યાનથી સાંભળવાની ના પાડે તો પછી મંડળીને આ વાતની જાણ કર. અને મંડળીનો ચુકાદો પણ માન્ય ન રાખે તો પછી તેને એક એવો માન કે જે દેવમાં વિશ્વાસ કરતો નથી અને તે કર ઉધરાવનારા જેવો જ છે.
Matthew 9:11
ફરોશીઓએ ઈસુને આવા માણસો સાથે ખાતાં જોયો તેથી તેના શિષ્યોને કહ્યું કે, “તમારો ઉપદેશક કર ઉઘરાવનારા તથા પાપીઓ સાથે શા માટે ભોજન લે છે?”
