ઈસુની નજીક ઊભેલા શિષ્યોમાંના એકે તેની તલવાર તાણી અને ખેંચીને બહાર કાઢી. આ શિષ્યે મુખ્ય યાજકના નોકરને માર્યો અને તલવારથી તેનો કાન કાપી નાખ્યો.
