Luke 11:53
જ્યારે ઈસુ ત્યાંથી જતો હતો ત્યારે શાસ્ત્રીઓ અને ફરોશીઓએ તેને વધારે કષ્ટ આપવા લાગ્યા. તેઓ ઘણી બાબતો વિષે પ્રશ્રોના ઉત્તર આપવા માટે પ્રયત્ન કરીને ઈસુને ઉશ્કેરવા લાગ્યા.

ચારે બાજુથી હું તેઓની ધમકીઓ ઉચ્ચારાતી સાંભળું છું અને મને ડર લાગે છે, તેઓ કહે છે, “આપણે ફરિયાદ કરીશું. જેઓ મારા મિત્રો હતા તેઓ સાવધાનીથી મને નિહાળે છે કે, ક્યારે ભયંકર ભૂલ કરી બેસું. તે પોતે જ ફસાઇ જશે અને ત્યારે આપણે તેના પર આપણું વૈર વાળીશું. તેઓ આ પ્રમાણે કહે છે.”
Luke 20:20
તેથી શાસ્ત્રીઓ અને યાજકોએ ઈસુને પકડવાના યોગ્ય સમયની રાહ જોવા લાગ્યા. તેઓએ કેટલાએક માણસોને ઈસુ પાસે મોકલ્યા. તેઓએ આ માણસોને તેઓ સારા હોય તે રીતે વર્તવા કહ્યું. ઈસુ જે કંઈ કહે તેમાં કંઈક ખોટું શોધવા તેઓ ઈચ્છતા હતા, જો તેઓ કંઈ ખોટું શોધી કાઢે તો પછી તેઓ ઈસુને શાસનકર્તાને સોંપી શકે જેની પાસે સત્તા અને અધિકાર હતા.
Luke 20:27
કેટલાએક સદૂકીઓ ઈસુ પાસે આવ્યા. (સદૂકીઓ માને છે કે મૃત્યુ પછી પુનરુંત્થાન નથી.) તેઓએ ઈસુને પૂછયું કે;
1 Corinthians 13:5
પ્રીતિ ઉદ્ધત નથી, પ્રીતિ સ્વાર્થી નથી અને પ્રીતિ આસાનીથી ક્રોધિત પણ થઈ જતી નથી. પ્રીતિ તેની સામે થયેલા અનુચિત વ્યવહારને યાદ રાખથી નથી.
