Lamentations 2:17
યહોવાએ જે વિચાર્યુ તે કર્યું અને તે સાચું પડ્યું; તેનો ભય, જેમ તેણે પ્રાચીનકાળમાં ચેતવણી આપી હતી તેમ તેણે નિર્દયપણે ભયંકર વિનાશ કર્યો. અમને નીચા પડતા જોઇ શત્રુઓને ખુશ કરવા સારું આ તક આપી છે, તેણે તમારા શત્રુઓને ઘમંડી બનાવ્યા છે.

| down, thrown hath he | הָרַ֖ס | hāras | ha-RAHS |
| and hath not | וְלֹ֣א | wĕlōʾ | veh-LOH |
| pitied: | חָמָ֑ל | ḥāmāl | ha-MAHL |
| enemy thine caused hath he and | וַיְשַׂמַּ֤ח | wayśammaḥ | vai-sa-MAHK |
| rejoice to | עָלַ֙יִךְ֙ | ʿālayik | ah-LA-yeek |
| over | אוֹיֵ֔ב | ʾôyēb | oh-YAVE |
| up set hath he thee, | הֵרִ֖ים | hērîm | hay-REEM |
| the horn | קֶ֥רֶן | qeren | KEH-ren |
