Acts 24:10
હાકેમે પાઉલને બોલવા માટે ઇશારો કર્યો. તેથી પાઉલે જવાબ આપ્યો. “નામદાર હાકેમ ફેલિકસ, હું જાણું છું કે આ દેશનો તું લાંબા સમય સુધી ન્યાયાધીશ રહ્યો છે. તેથી હું ખુશીથી મારો બચાવ મારી જાતે તારી સમક્ષ રજૂ કરું છું.

સૂબેદારે પાઉલને લોકો સમક્ષ બોલવાની રજા આપી. તેથી પાઉલ પગથિયા પર ઊભો રહ્યો. તેણે તેના હાથો વડે નિશાની કરી. તેથી લોકો શાંત થઈ જાય. લોકો શાંત થઈ ગયા એટલે પાઉલે તેઓને ઉદ્દબોધન કર્યુ. તેણે હિબ્રું ભાષાનો ઉપયોગ કર્યો.

તે યહૂદિઓએ આલેકસાંદર નામના માણસને લોકો સમક્ષ ઊભો કર્યો. લોકોએ તેને શું કરવું તે કહ્યું. આલેકસાંદરે હાથ હલાવ્યો. કારણ કે તે લોકોને પ્રત્યુત્તર આપવા ઇચ્છતો હતો.

પિતરે તેના હાથના ઇશારાથી તેઓને શાંત રહેવા કહ્યું. તેણે તેઓને સમજાવ્યું કે પ્રભુ તેને કેવી રીતે બંદીખાનામાંથી બહાર લાવ્યો. તેણે કહ્યું, “જે કંઈ બન્યું છે તે યાકૂબને તથા બીજા ભાઈઓને કહો.” પછી પિતર બીજી કોઇ જગ્યાએ જવા માટે ચાલ્યો ગયો.
