ઈસુ ફરીથી ગાલીલમાં કાના ગામની મુલાકાતે ગયો. કાના એ છે જ્યાં ઈસુએ પાણીમાંથી દ્રાક્ષારસ બનાવ્યો હતો. રાજાના અધિકારીઓમાંનો એક મહત્વનો અધિકારી કફરનહૂમ શહેરમાં રહેતો હતો. આ માણસનો દીકરો માંદો હતો.
