Jeremiah 38:17
એટલે યમિર્યાએ સિદકિયાને કહ્યું, “ઇસ્રાએલના દેવ સૈન્યોનો દેવ યહોવાનાં આ વચન છે: ‘જો તમે બહાર જઇને બાબિલના રાજાના શરણે જશો, તો તમે તથા તમારું કુટુંબ જીવતાં રહેશો અને આ નગરને અગ્નિથી બાળી નાખવામાં આવશે નહિં.

| assuredly wilt thou | יָצֹ֨א | yāṣōʾ | ya-TSOH |

| king the | שָׂרֵ֤י | śārê | sa-RAY |
| of Babylon's | מֶֽלֶךְ | melek | MEH-lek |
| princes, | בָּבֶל֙ | bābel | ba-VEL |
| soul thy then | וְחָיְתָ֣ה | wĕḥāytâ | veh-hai-TA |
| shall live, | נַפְשֶׁ֔ךָ | napšekā | nahf-SHEH-ha |
| and this | וְהָעִ֣יר | wĕhāʿîr | veh-ha-EER |
| city | הַזֹּ֔את | hazzōt | ha-ZOTE |
| not shall | לֹ֥א | lōʾ | loh |
| be burned | תִשָּׂרֵ֖ף | tiśśārēp | tee-sa-RAFE |
| with fire; | בָּאֵ֑שׁ | bāʾēš | ba-AYSH |
| thou and | וְחָיִ֖תָה | wĕḥāyitâ | veh-ha-YEE-ta |
| shalt live, | אַתָּ֥ה | ʾattâ | ah-TA |
| and thine house: | וּבֵיתֶֽךָ׃ | ûbêtekā | oo-vay-TEH-ha |
