Isaiah 47:1
યહોવા કહે છે, “હે અપરાજીત બાબિલ નગરી, તું નીચે ઉતર અને ધૂળમાં બેસ. રાજ્યાસન ઉપરથી ઊતરીને ભોંય પર બેસ. તું કુંવારી કન્યા જેવી વણજીતાયેલી નગરી હતી, પણ હવે તું સુંવાળી કે કોમળ રહી નથી.

| throne, | כִּסֵּ֖א | kissēʾ | kee-SAY |
| O daughter | בַּת | bat | baht |
| of the Chaldeans: | כַּשְׂדִּ֑ים | kaśdîm | kahs-DEEM |
| for | כִּ֣י | kî | kee |
| no shalt thou | לֹ֤א | lōʾ | loh |
| more | תוֹסִ֙יפִי֙ | tôsîpiy | toh-SEE-FEE |
