Isaiah 44:15
પછી તે લાકડાનો કેટલોક ભાગ બળતણ તરીકે પોતાને હૂંફાળા બનાવવા માટે વાપરે છે અને તેના પર રોટલી શેકે છે. બાકી રહેલા લાકડામાંથી તે પોતાને માટે દેવ બનાવે છે-લોકો ભકિત કરી શકે માટે દેવ બનાવે છે! પગે લાગવા માટે તે મૂર્તિઓ ઘડે છે.

કોણ દેવની મૂર્તિ બનાવશે જે તેને સહેજ પણ સહાય કરી શકતી નથી?
Isaiah 45:20
યહોવા કહે છે, “યુદ્ધમાંથી બચી ગયેલી તમે દેશવિદેશની સર્વ પ્રજાઓ એકઠી થઇને આવો. જેઓ લાકડાની મૂર્તિઓને ઉપાડીને ફેરવે છે, તારી શકે એમ નથી એવા દેવની જેઓ પૂજા કરે છે તેઓ મૂરખ છે.
Revelation 9:20
પૃથ્વી પરના બીજા લોકોને આ ખરાબ વસ્તુઓથી મારી નાખવામાં આવ્યાં નહિ. છતાં આ લોકોએ હજુ પણ પસ્તાવો કર્યો નથી. અને તેઓ પોતાના હાથની બનાવેલી કૃતિઓ તરફથી પાછા ફર્યા નહિ. તેઓએ ભૂતોની તથા સોનાચાંદી, પિત્તળ, પથ્થરની મૂર્તિઓ અને લાકડાની વસ્તુઓ જે જોવા કે સાંભળવા કે ચાલવા શક્તિમાન નથી, તેઓની પૂજા કરવાનું બંધ કર્યુ નથી.
