Isaiah 33:23
શકિતશાળી વહાણોના દોરડાં ઢીલાં થઇ જશે અને તેના કૂવાસ્થંભો ભાંગી જશે, જેથી તે સઢ ફેલાવી શકશે નહિ. તેઓની સંપત્તિ દેવના લોકો દ્વારા વહેંચી લેવામાં આવશે. જેઓ અપંગ છે તેઓ પણ પોતાનો હિસ્સો પ્રાપ્ત કરશે.

કેટલાએક ખલાસીઓની ઈચ્છા વહાણ છોડીને જવાની હતી. તેઓએ (જીવનરક્ષા) મછવો પાણીમાં ઉતાર્યો. ખલાસીઓ બીજા માણસો વિચારે એમ ઈચ્છતા હતા. કે તેઓ વહાણની સામેથી વધારે લંગર નાખતા હતા.

એક દિવસ પછી તેઓએ વહાણનાં સાધનો પોતાના હાથે જ બહાર ફેંકી દીધા.

પરંતુ હવે તારા કુશળ ખલાસીઓ તને ભરસમુદ્રમાં લઇ ગયા છે. તારું સમર્થ વહાણ પૂર્વના તોફાની પવનોમાં સપડાયું છે અને મધદરિયે તારા ભુક્કેભુક્કા ઉડાવી દીધા.
Isaiah 33:21
ત્યાં સૈન્યોના દેવ યહોવા આપણને તેની ભવ્યતા સાથે દર્શન દેશે. આપણે વિશાળ નદીઓ અને ઝરણાંઓના પ્રદેશમાં વસીશું. ત્યાં કોઇ શત્રુઓના વહાણો નહિ આવે.

તમારી યુદ્ધની લૂંટ, જાણે તીડ અને તીતીઘોડા ખાઇ રહ્યાં હોય તેમ ભેગી કરવામાં આવશે.

અફસોસ છે તને! તું અલબત્ત, બીજાને લૂંટે છે, પણ તું લૂંટાયો નથી! તું દગાબાજી કરે છે ખરો, પણ તારી સાથે કોઇએ દગાબાજી કરી નથી! પણ જ્યારે તારી ખરાબીઓ પૂરી થશે, ત્યારે તું ખરેખર લૂંટાશે; જ્યારે તું તારી દગાબાજીનો અંત લાવીશ ત્યારે ખરેખર તારી સાથે દગાબાજી થશે.
2 Chronicles 20:25
યહોશાફાટ રાજા અને તેના લોકો લૂંટ એકત્ર કરવા લાગ્યા. તેઓને નાણાં, પોશાક, અલંકારો અને રોજીંદા જીવનની વસ્તુસંગ્રહ કરી અને લઇ લીધી. આ લૂંટ એટલી બધી હતી કે તે બધી લઇ જવા માટે તેઓને ત્રણ દિવસ લાગ્યા.
