Hosea 10:15
હે બેથેલ, તારી સાથે પણ તેમ જ થશે. કારણ કે, તેઁ ઘણું ખરાબ કર્યુ છે. જ્યારે તે દિવસ આવશે ત્યારે ઇસ્રાએલના રાજાનો સંપૂર્ણ નાશ થઇ જશે.

હવે તેમણે કહેવું પડશે; અમારે કોઇ રાજા નથી, કારણ, અમે યહોવાથી બીતા નથી; અને રાજા પણ અમારે માટે શું કરવાનો હતો?

તો આનો અર્થ શું એવો થાય કે જે કઈક સારું છે તે જ મારા માટે મૃત્યુ લાવ્યું? ના! પરંતુ પાપે જે મારું મૃત્યુ લાવી શકે તેવા સારાપણાનો ઉપયોગ કર્યો. આમ એટલા માટે બન્યું કે પાપનું ખરું સ્વરૂપ પ્રગટ થઈ શકે. અને તેના બધા અનિષ્ટોમાં પાપ બતાવી શકાય આ બધું આજ્ઞા દ્વારા જ થયું હતું.
